Jennifer Cooper was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. After obtaining an Hons. B.A. (University of Calgary), an M.A. (Queen‘s University) and an LL.B (Osgoode Hall), Jennifer articled with the Family Responsibility Office and was called to the Bar in 2005. Jennifer joined forces with Hughes & Bale LLP in 2013, becoming a partner of the firm the following year.
Jennifer has practiced exclusively in the area of family law for her entire legal career. Her practical, common-sense approach to negotiation and litigation contributes to her impressive record of client satisfaction.
Jennifer recognizes that separation and divorce can involve a panoply of legal issues. She has the knowledge and experience to help her clients navigate the related and complex corporate, tort, and criminal components of a relationship breakdown.
Jennifer is a trustee of the Hamilton Law Association and vice chair of the Hamilton Law Association Family Law Subcommittee. She is a bar representative to the Hamilton Family Law Community Liaison/ Community Resource Committee. In her spare time Jennifer likes to run on the trails in the Hamilton/ Ancaster/ Dundas area. She is a mediocre sailor who is diligently trying to improve. She approaches each day with humility and humour.
